We’re super excited to announce that work has begun on one of our fantastic luxury homes in Yorkshire – our latest development, Chapel Wold, is coming to you soon.
From the very first moment that we took in its stunning, far-reaching views across the rolling hills of the Wharfe Valley, we knew that we needed to bring this site alive with an aspirational project that brings architecture and nature together in perfect harmony.
Located in the hamlet of Kearby, this site offers a phenomenal refuge from the hustle of city life, whilst still maintaining excellent connections to Harrogate, Leeds and Wetherby. At Chapel Wold you’ll find spaces that are centred on a life of health and wellbeing, but also steeped in rich history and surrounded by the very best of the rural British countryside.
Where luxury homes meet history…
Chapel Wold’s charming designs echo its personal past. One single family has occupied the property for the past three generations, utilising the land primarily for sheep farming and still surrounded by its glorious grazing pastures.
The magic of this project is due to its authentic history intermingling with its luxurious modern design, presenting a glorious haven nestled in the country. The site itself hosts a wonderful assortment of buildings, including the large farmhouse, clusters of sophisticated stone barns, and a newer steel-framed barn. All of our pieces are set with truly breath-taking grounds, bursting with wildflowers and providing you with the perfect space to wind down, relax, and feel at one with nature and yourself.
As we started to look further into the history surrounding the development, we discovered that one of the stone barns dates all the way back to the 1800s – that’s two centuries of character infused into its very fabric!
We also made another exciting discovery – take a look at the wonderful wrought iron key, a unique piece of surviving history that grants access to the beautiful period farmhouse. The experience given by these luxury homes in Yorkshire is not one to miss – the site, buildings and surroundings will transport you back to simpler times, but with a sympathetic touch of contemporary styling.
Renovating and restoring homes steeped in history
We’re currently undertaking a sensitive renovation to this stunning site, making the absolute most of the buildings’ existing features in order to draw out as much original character as possible, aiming to emphasise its already timeless traits.
We’ve already started work on transforming the period farmhouse into a luxury home, and we can’t wait until we can reveal the final results! The 19th Century Harewood Estate farmhouse is chic and characterful, and we’ve uncovered some gorgeous features which we will be reinstating, including beautiful fireplaces, sleek oak beams and a stone floored basement – this is to become a wine-cellar: we know how to live!
It’s set to be carefully renovated, and extended to include a brand new garden room opening up this fantastic property to its surrounding pastoral dream.
Not long now…
The farmhouse will be available later on this year following its completed renovation, with two traditional stone barn conversions, and a modern steel framed barn conversion to follow.
